STAFF at Motherwell's Specsavers have teamed up with Motherwell FC in a bid to raise cash for St Andrew's Hospice.
The store on Brandon Parade took delivery of a signed and framed 'Well strip from manager Mark McGhee and staff hope fans will show their support by buying raffle tickets.
Store manager Ian Moss said: "We sponsor Mark McGhee in the Motherwell FC programme and they kindly donated a shirt signed by the current squad.
"The team did really well by finishing third in the SPL last season and can now look forward to European football for the first time in many years. That makes this shirt a little special. It's nicely framed and is a great piece of memorabilia that I'm sure any Motherwell fan would love to own.
"It's also very exciting that we have the chance to generate some real funds for the St Andrew's Hospice, who do so much good work across Lanarkshire."
Mark added: "It gives me great pleasure to be involved with the launch of this charity raffle. One lucky winner will get a very special memento from our historic 2007/08 season and more importantly our fans will be helping raise money for St Andrew's Hospice."
The Airdrie-based hospice provides specialist palliative care services to patients suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Fundraising director Sam Lavery said: "Over a period of 20 years, more than 1,000 patients from the Motherwell and Wishaw areas have occupied beds at our Hospice.
"Local people know this and both the public and business community are generous in their support.
"I am sure that Specsavers initiative will prove to be popular and successful."
Tickets for the raffle cost £2. They are available at the Specsavers branch and at the St Andrew's Hospice shop in Brandon Arcade.
