MOTHERWELL West councillor Paul Kelly is seeking opinions on the future of Dalziel Workspace.
CIS Ltd/Motherwell Town Centre Partnership plan to demolish the former school building and create flats, but Councillor Kelly request for a site visit before a decision is made was granted at last week's meeting of North Lanarkshire Council planning and transport committee.

Councillor Kelly said: "A number of local residents raised concerns with me, the main one being that a building of such architectural quality and prominence could be demolished. I believe we should think very carefully about this proposal and make sure we listen to the views of residents.

"We have to make sure that any major decisions on Motherwell town centre have the approval of residents. I want to make sure the planning committee is fully aware of the views of the people of Motherwell."

Contact Councillor Kelly on 302605,or email kellyp2@northlan.gov.uk
