YOUNG volunteers from schools and organisations in North Lanarkshire were recognised at a special MV Awards ceremony hosted by the Volunteer Centre North Lanarkshire.
The presentation ceremony took place at the Volunteer Centre's new Citizenship Centre in Wishaw with more than 80 young people being rewarded.

Awards for 50, 100 and 200 hours were given to pupils from Brannock High and Taylor High School were presented with their MV Awards along with volunteers from North Lanarkshire Active Schools, Reeltime Music in Newarthill and North Lanarkshire young people's panel Youth Buzz.

Craig Russell, youth development worker at the Volunteer Centre, said: "We were delighted to be able to highlight youth volunteering this year as the efforts made by volunteers within schools and other youth and volunteer-involving organisations is extremely valuable, and too often goes unnoticed."
